Rev78 finish an amazing year with the release of their single “Could Have Been A Dancer” on 5th December 2011

Day Job Records announce the release of “Could Have Been A Dancer” as a single from Camden favourites Rev78 on the 5th December 2011. The single is the second taken from the critically acclaimed debut album “Boy In The Blitz” and caps a fantastic year for the lads.

“Could Have Been A Dancer” is a heartfelt tale of wasted opportunities and unfulfilled lives, set to a melodic rhythm. With Teddy’s beautifully delivered vocals and lyrical hooks, it makes for a haunting track that stays with you long after the song has finished. The B-side is the previously unreleased track “What’s Up With You?”, a much more aggressive affair with a killer chorus. Both tracks further demonstrate the musical dexterity of the band reaffirming their status as one of the UK’s hottest new acts.

Both recorded during the “Boy In The Blitz” session at The Brighton Electric by Junk Scientists (a.k.a Russ Keffert) and mixed by indie luminary Catherine Marks (Interpol, Foals, PJ Harvey and Placebo) with the official video being directed by James Nunn.

Following in the footsteps of great UK frontmen, lead singer Teddy Quick charms us with his passionate, tender and heartfelt lyrics, serenading the recurring themes of love, loneliness and the longing for acceptance and understanding. The music is built upon the driving bass of Jimi Laff (nephew of Mark Laff – Generation X and Subway Sect) and the solid drums of Tom Hargreaves, allowing guitarist Dave Gritzman to paint a dynamic canvas for Teddy to express himself.

2011 has been a great year for Rev78 with a string of sold out UK and festivals appearances. The debut single “Killing Me” was played regularly on a number of BBC Introducing shows and student radio stations. With the lads currently back in the studio recording new material the momentum for the band is building at pace.
