Video of the week (Special edition)

Hello everybody!

This week's blog post was inspired by good synergy, alliances, duets, unions, harmonies and simple perfection.
Yesterday I was out to see Anna Ternheim playing with Dave Ferguson at the Bush Hall in Shepherd's Bush, London…
It completely blew my mind in such a way that I decided to change this week's post to talk about this perfect collaboration between two great musicians.

The Longer The Waiting, The Sweeter The Kiss - Anna Ternheim with Dave Ferguson (Dir. John Boisen & Björn Fävremark)

ANNA Ternheim, singer-songwriter, 33 years old from from Stockholm, Sweden.
DAVID R. Ferguson, sound engineer and multi-instrumentalist, 50 years old from Nashville, Tennessee.
SHE started playing the guitar when she was 10 years old, beginning her career in 2003 releasing a total of 5 albums.
HE's been playing since he was 17 and began his career in the mid's 80's engineering country music for Jack Clement.
HER music has acoustic, folk and blues influences supported by a beautiful and acurate voice.
HIS talent got him to work with many legends as John Prine, Charlie Pride, Eddy Arnlod, U2, The Del McCoury Band and so many more.
SHE received many awards as the Swedish Grammy for Best Newcomer of the year, Best Female Artist and Best Lyricist.
HE received Grammy Awards from albums made with Johnny Cash.

Together they created "Night Visitor" (which you can purchase digitally here or physically here), a record mainly made of beautiful arrangements on acoustic guitars supported by deep and charming vocals with great sad (nothing depressing, just beautiful sadness) lyrics. Surrounded by American country musicians, she created a very strong and fine album.

The video is for one of the album tracks which is a Josh Turner cover, a track Dave Ferguson presented to Anna Ternheim who instantly fell in love with. The video was made in Dave Ferguson's country house where Anna, Dave and many incredible musicians spent some time together creating the new album. The video is really simple and sweet. Really beautiful work from the cameras and the colour correction. It's one of those great videos which shows the truth and the natural look of great musicians getting together. A really sweet video for the sweetest song!
